Red Bull Honda OMSE 2017

Honda and Honda Performance Development announced that Olsbergs MSE (OMSE) will field an expanded lineup of three talente, young drivers for the 2017 Red Bull Global Rallycross Championship season. Teaming with series veteran Sebastian Eriksson will be former Red Bull GRC Lites champions, newcomer Oliver Eriksson and American Mitchell DeJong, who returns to the team following his debut at the 2016 season finale in Los Angeles.

Honda’s most consistent podium threat in its first Red Bull GRC season last year, Eriksson returns for his third straight season behind the wheel for Olsbergs MSE. The 2015 Supercar runner-up will be shooting for his second career main event victory this year, and the first for the Civic Coupe. Oliver Eriksson #16

BIO:

He was only one finishing position in Los Angeles away from being GRC Lites’ first-ever repeat champion. Now, Eriksson becomes the third member of one of rallycross’ most iconic families to race a Red Bull GRC Supercar, following his father Andreas in 2011 and older brother Kevin last year. Oliver’s results in a Lites car have been stout: five race victories have more than proven his speed, while his consistency got him into every 2016 final with only one appearance in an LCQ.
