Andreas Eriksson gave the Ford Fiesta Mk7 its motor racing debut in the opening round of the European Rallycross Championship in 2009. But it was for Ford MotorCompany USA and Ford Performance and the Fiestas Launch in North America that the first generation of Fiesta Mk7 was built for. And what a debut it did.
Designed and build by OMSE in Nynäshamn, Sweden two cars were shipped over the Atlantic for the 2009 Pikes Peak International Hillclimb event in Colorado. A P2 finish in its first ever PPIHC was immediately followed up by a victory in X-Games Los Angeles.
OMSE built in total 20 Ford Fiesta Mk7 cars for Rallycross, Hillclimb, Pikes Peak, Gymkhana until the new Fiesta Mk8 was launched for the 2018 season. The Fiesta Mk7 is today still very much in use over the world and we still keep a parts stock available for our Fiesta Mk7 customers.
